Apparently Trevor played the Movement Festival in Detroit this weekend. I missed him. One thing I don’t miss is Trevor posting to Effete Musings. Why? Because I can’t remember the last time he posted. You would think an internationally known elfin DJ or a dude whose job is to sit in front of the computer all day in his underwear would have the time to opine on occasion on all things Effete and Museful. Guess some folks are too busy curling up into fetal balls on oddly colored mantlepieces to tippy tap, or what-not. Just saying. Maybe you could use your wicked dance beats or your “experience” with video/computer news to help poor befuddled neil fix the screw ups on this site. Neil was in town this weekend as well. I heard he tore up the dancefloor. Luckily, someone snapped some pictures:

France to Ban Happy Hour

The Guardian is reporting today that France is considering banning happy hour (cinq à sept) because a certain percentage of French seventeen year-olds have been getting drunk on average once every two months.
A local nightclub owner was quoted:
“People buy bottles when they are in a group because it’s cheaper and they can last a long time on a single bottle. Does the government want people to spend their money individually to get wasted on beer instead?”

Okay, i’ve calmed down. Poncho got a little steamed there when the computer wasn’t doing his bidding. Poncho just needed to cool down a bit…watch that naked TaTu video, destroy a bag of Nutter Butters, and call up my friend Brother Ponytail for some calming advice. But seriously, how do you post videos? My brain hurts.

dude had a real knack for good music project names: started a label called sleeping bag (“i got a new bag, it’s a sleeping bag”), and recorded under the names Dinosaur L, Indian Ocean, Loose Joints, etc.
